Where to go during Easter

The Easter break cannot come soon enough for students across the UK. Conveniently placed just before exam season, dissertations and an intense period of revision and study, this can often be the last chance for some proper relaxation before this crucial time and one that you should make the most of. This said, deciding what to do during Easter can often be a tricky decision for many students. The break can be long enough for a trip somewhere nice away from the city or even somewhere near home.

So, what are the options available when looking for something to do during Easter when at University? We have put together our top tips for a luxury Easter break that is sure to leave you refreshed and invigorated, ready for all the final semester of the 2016/2017 academic campaign has to throw at you.

Easter Holiday Options

The Greek Islands

One of the many luxurious Greek islands are a popular choice for an Easter break to remember, due mainly to the fact that you are virtually guaranteed sunshine and the flight doesn’t take too much time out of your four-day weekend. With so many destinations to choose from, the Greek Islands are a versatile choice and you can choose to party the long weekend away or find a quieter location where you can unwind and enjoy the sunshine. Crete, Kavos, and Kefalonia are some of our favourite Greek destinations, but you can explore these in more detail using the guide to Greece’s top 19 islands.

If travelling doesn’t bother you and you are determined to get away for the ultimate luxury Easter holiday, then Thailand could be the perfect choice. If you have some extra days to play with due to your university timetable, then we really can’t recommend Thailand enough as it is jam packed with some of the coolest things you can get up to this Easter. There are so many resorts and destinations to choose from, it would be impossible to list them all in this guide but somewhere such as Soneva Kiri could be ideal if you are looking to recharge the batteries before your return to university. Here one can unwind with features such as Treepod Dining, Cinema Paradiso and some of the most breath-taking beaches and views Thailand has to offer. We don’t need to mention the food on offer at this luxury Easter holiday destination and the weather is a given, making a trip to Thailand well worth the extra bit of effort if you have some extra time off this Easter.

Disney World Florida

Disneyworld Florida

Undoubtedly one of the happiest places on earth no matter how old you are and one of our top picks when looking for a luxury Easter holiday destination. There are few resorts in the world that know how to look after their customers better than the guys at Disney, and the Florida flagship destination hits the pinnacle of what Disney has to offer. Whilst at Disney you can enjoy the theme park, rides and all the magic that comes with all your favourite characters from your childhood and in the evening, you can sample some of the amazing restaurants and wine bars that ensure the trip provides fun for all the family. So, if you are looking for an Easter trip which is as fun filled and laid back as it is relaxing, a trip to Florida gets our vote for sure.

Dubai is a popular choice, not least due to the relatively minimal flight time when compared to our last two luxury Easter trip choices. However, this location is very different indeed. Largely reclaimed from the desert and from the sea, Dubai is a dazzling and vibrant city with everything from the world’s tallest skyscrapers and hotels, to sumptuous beaches and of course, some of the finest eateries and bars you will find anywhere on the globe. If shopping until you drop and relaxing in style by the pool or perhaps on the beach is your idea of the perfect Easter trip, then look no further than the UAE and its stunning capital Dubai.

Luxury Ski Trip

Last but certainly not least in our selection of recommended Easter breaks, is a long weekend away on the piste. This can be the perfect way to unwind at a luxury resort, drinking and dining in one of your chosen resort’s many establishments and also get the thrill of skiing or snowboarding in as well. This can be quite seasonal, which can affect the quality and quantity of snow on many of the slopes, but we have listed below some ski destinations that are popular during the Easter months.
