Covid-19
Almero Student understands this is a challenging time for students, their friends and family.
During this unprecedented time, our intention is to work with you to ensure we do everything we can to support you.
Our properties remain open for all students. Our staff continue to be on hand to support you in-person or remotely. Should you need support then please contact us
The UK Government has put in place strict rules on what we should and shouldn’t be doing during periods of lockdown. Read the latest guidance on the gov.uk website, where you can also find the most up-to-date information on the disease and its symptoms. This information is also available on the NHS website.
At Almero Student we encourage all our tenants and staff to keep to these guidelines to help keep everybody safe.
We are committed to ensuring students’ safety and are prioritising cleaning and sanitising of high touch point surfaces, staff are wearing PPE and we are limiting the contact between residents and staff where possible.
To limit the spread of COVID-19, we recommend you wash your hands regularly for a minimum of 20 seconds, keep surfaces clean and tidy and dispose of rubbish frequently.
We have detailed action plans in place to respond to any potential outbreak at one of our properties.
If you suspect you have any symptoms we urge you to get a test as soon as possible. You can book a test by visiting the gov.uk website. The main symptoms are a high temperature, a new continuous dry cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. You may also suffer tiredness/fatigue, fever and some may experience a runny nose, aches and pains.
If you have any of these symptoms, do not leave your room and notify your local property manager immediately, so that we can offer the necessary support. You should also not go to university.
In the event of a fire evacuation, follow the standard evacuation procedures at your property, but ensure you keep your distance from other residents and staff (at least six feet) and that you wear a mask.
If at any time your symptoms worsen, or you are having difficulty breathing, dial 999.
We will contact any students due to arrive with us whilst the COVID-19 restrictions are in place in due course to ensure a safe and smooth arrival process.
